Optimizing user experience (UX) for a B2B portfolio

The AmerCareRoyal B2B portfolio includes over 1,200 branded products, and maintains strong relationships with more than 1,000 distribution partners across North America. AmerCareRoyal partnered with Domaine Studio to refine, optimize, and add custom enhancements to ten of the Shopify websites within its portfolio.

Preferred purchasing

As a B2B brand, AmerCareRoyal uses Purchase Orders with some customers, allowing employees to create orders, enter a unique PO number, and bill the company later. They can check out using a manual payment method without needing a credit card or default payment method. The Domaine Studio team developed this functionality using Shopify Scripts to create and hide the Manual Payment option, making it visible only to customers tagged as PO customers.

The price is right

AmerCareRoyal offers its customers discounts on specific items that matter most to them. The Domaine Studio team used Shopify Scripts and custom theme modifications to apply percentage or dollar-amount discounts to specific SKUs. This allows AmerCareRoyal to assign SKU-specific discounts to individual customers without additional code changes. Additionally, the team implemented customer-specific pricing and bulk pricing, ensuring customers receive the best available discount, whether from loyalty pricing or bulk pricing, without any extra effort.

Streamlined UX

Customers often order multiple sizes of the same product, like gloves. To streamline this, the Domaine Studio team modified the add-to-cart feature on these PDPs, adding quantity input boxes for each size variant. Now, customers can select quantities for multiple sizes and add them to the cart all at once. For frequent reorders, an “Order Again” button was added using Shopify’s prefilled checkout feature. Additionally, a print feature was added to the order history page, allowing customers to print invoices in a clean, text-based, printer-friendly format.
