InsideOut Patio enlisted Domaine Studio to craft an online selection display that would reflect its range of products, variants, and integrated inventory. Using a custom theme design and features for online merchandising, InsideOut Patio's new ecommerce website provides better functionality and ease-of-use for the brand's omnichannel customers.

The Action Plan

During the Action Plan between the Domaine Studio and InsideOut Patio teams, we uncovered key details to ensure the success of their new e-commerce site. The consultation identified additional requirements, and we determined which solutions to develop within Shopify Plus and which Shopify apps would best meet their unique needs. This included customer management, warehousing, fulfillment, accounting, and marketing requests. It was a perfect fit for Shopify Plus, and we were excited about the project.

The Solution

A custom theme design was chosen, incorporating custom features for content management and online merchandising. This included customizable collection sections with blocks for displaying collections on the homepage and top-selling products. The Domaine Studio team utilized product tags to display badges like in stock, special order, pre-order, sale, quick ship, and online only. For product variants, images dynamically update based on the selected variant. Metafields and product description separators were added for warranty information and customer reviews.

Content Customization

Getting the product photo orientation right was a key detail for content managers and customers. Lounge seating and sets typically require a landscape crop, while smoker BBQs need a portrait crop. We developed the custom theme to support both options, enabling the InsideOut Patio team to update products confidently, ensuring they always look great to customers browsing the website.

Marketing Strategy

To boost brand awareness for InsideOut Patio, the Domaine Studio team collaborated on an effective marketing strategy, enabling product publishing on social channels like Instagram, Facebook, and Google. We addressed various checkout requests, including clearance pricing, discount codes, sales on specific collections or products, and offering add-ons and promotions. Additionally, we worked with Klaviyo to assist with abandoned cart emails and segmented, personalized messaging for both existing and potential customers.

Logistics & Operations

In addition to couriers, InsideOut Patio have their own delivery vehicles and need a system for tagging specific heavy load vs small load notification emails. For this solution we developed a Shopify Script to hide shipping rates if local delivery was an option, allowing InsideOut Patio to offer customers their in-house delivery service.
