Mejuri

Model with rings on

From legacy systems to a unified global platform

Mejuri has turned fine jewelry into an everyday occasion while making a positive impact on communities, the industry, and the world. Their rapid global growth demanded a platform built for the future, and Domaine reimagined Mejuri’s ecommerce infrastructure, replacing outdated systems with a flexible, headless setup that ensures efficiency, performance, and scalability.

Co-development on custom solutions

An extensive, in-person discovery process kicked off the project with a deep understanding of Mejuri’s unique and complex needs. From there, the Domaine team acted as the technical project leaders with Mejuri’s in-house engineers as strategic collaborators, maximizing each team’s expertise towards custom-built solutions. This co-development model for enterprise brands facilitates transparency and efficiency throughout the project.

Mejuri Pages

Future-proofing for sustainable growth

A modern setup with Shopify Hydrogen and Oxygen and Sanity CMS replaced Mejuri’s outgrown legacy tech stack of Spree Commerce and Contentful CMS. This migration eliminated years of technical debt, enabling the Mejuri team to focus on strategic priorities rather than site maintenance. The new platform is optimized for scalability, performance, and speed, with sub-4-second First Contentful Paint (FCP), a user-centric metric for perceived load time.

Centralized infrastructure for multi-market management

Domaine developed a single, centralized source of truth for Mejuri’s content, inventory, and product data, allowing the team to manage multiple regional sites from the same home base, and scale their global ecommerce operations without sacrificing control or clarity. A custom integration between Shopify and Sanity lets Mejuri manage product and page content across regions with localized details for the US, Canada, UK, and Australia.

Modular content design for agile updates

Working collaboratively with Mejuri’s design team, Domaine developed a new modular, component-based design that allows Mejuri’s content team to rapidly build and test customized pages. Reusable components and layered sections facilitate frequent product launches and allow for nimble adjustments to site pages. Meanwhile, the migration to Sanity CMS enables fast A/B tests using Split.io, so the team can pivot campaigns quickly.
